Do you currently live in or around Brisbane? Interested in playing Water Polo in an inclusive environment, meeting new friends and getting fit?  Yes? Then we want to hear from you.  The Melbourne Surge and Sydney Stingers Water Polo clubs are joining forces to find out if there may be interest in Queensland for a third LGBTIQ Water Polo team.

We are currently taking expressions of interest - so sign up, tell your friends who may be interested and help spread the word.  If you are in Brisbane on September 19th for Fair Day, please visit the Aqualicious stall and talk to our representative who can give you more details and take down your details.

Once we have gauged interest we will be in contact with all registrants to discuss the process moving forward.  In the meantime if you have any further questions please contact us.  We're very excited with the great response we've already received and have the full backing of Queensland Water Polo.

Both the Surge and Stingers have enjoyed rapid increases in membership in the last year as the sport gains popularity within the LGBTIQ community.   Recognising this, Water Polo Victoria have announced 2016's first Grudge Match between the two teams will take place in Melbourne as part of the inaugural National Water Polo League Pride Cup Round.   Water polo will become the first national sporting code to hold a Pride event as part of their competitive fixture, with the event showcasing both a men's and a women's match between the elite National League teams the Victorian Seals and Brisbane based KFC Breakers on February 5 at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre starting at 6pm.
