We're a fun, friendly LGBTIQ-inclusive club that welcomes both new and experienced players. We aim to create a supportive and enjoyable environment while we train, play & challenge ourselves.

do I need to be gay, lesbian or lgbtiq to join?

No, not at all - everyone is welcome. But please be aware that our club is an LGBTIQ-friendly environment.

What grades do you play?

We're actively recruiting for the following grades in the Water Polo NSW Metropolitan Winter Competition:

  • L1/L2 grade – for advanced players with prior experience
  • L5 grade – for beginner and intermediate players; and experienced players who would be prepared to mentor & coach newer players

We're also accepting expressions of interest for L3 and L4 grades.

Do I need prior experience?

We're currently seeking both new players and those with prior experience.

If you haven't played water polo before, you'll do better if you're already a regular swimmer. You need to be confident in the water.

When and where do you play / train?

We train on Saturday mornings at Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre (exact times TBA). Training runs for 90 mins each session.

Games will be held on Wednesday evenings from 23 May through to 8 August. Venues are not yet finalised, but are likely to be Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre, Macquarie University, Auburn Aquatic Centre and the University of Sydney.

I'm not ready to play yet, can I train with you?

Yes, you can join the club as a non-competing member and attend our Saturday training sessions & social games. We'll help you learn the basics.

fees and charges?

You'll need to pay normal pool entry fees for games and training sessions. Members receive discounted pool entry at our home pool, Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre. All other game and training expenses are covered by your membership fee - see below.
