Behind every season is a group of volunteers
The Sydney Stingers are led by members of our community who contribute their time, skills, and care to support the club on and off the pool deck.
Leadership at the Stingers is about stewardship, not status. Our volunteers help guide the club's culture, operations, and future, while staying connected to the people and community we serve.
The Executive Committee is responsible for the overall governance and management of the club. This includes financial oversight, compliance, strategic direction, and supporting the volunteers who deliver programs and competitions.
The Committee is made up of both elected Executive roles and appointed Ordinary Executives, bringing together continuity and fresh perspectives from across the club.
Elected Executive roles are elected by members and are typically held for two-year terms.
Appointed Ordinary Executive roles are appointed for one-year terms and support the work of the Committee across specific areas of club.

Beyond the Executive Committee, the club is supported by captains, coaches, event leads, and volunteers who help deliver training, competitions, and community activities throughout the year. This includes dedicated roles such as the TGD Inclusion Manager and Member Protection Information Officers, who support inclusion, wellbeing, and safe participation across the club.

For 25 years, the Stingers have been run by volunteers from within the community. Leadership roles evolve over time, bringing new voices and perspectives while maintaining continuity and care. This balance helps ensure the club remains inclusive, sustainable, and responsive to its members.
