If you already know how to play water polo — and you've been looking for an inclusive club that takes both the sport and its community seriously — this is where you start.
The Competitive Pathways Series is a special edition of the Stingers Bootcamp, designed specifically for players with experience. Whether you've played socially or competitively, you're returning after time away, or you're transitioning from another club — this is the right entry point.
When: September 2026 — dates coming soon
Where: Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre
Cost: $100 — includes all three sessions and a spot at Rainbow Cup on 3 October
What the sessions look like
Structured training and play across three sessions, building game sense and connection with the Stingers community. Similar in format to our Bootcamp series, aimed at a confident, experienced level. You'll play real water polo in an inclusive environment, matched with players at a similar stage.
Who it's for
Players returning to water polo after time away, people who play elsewhere and want a more inclusive club, transitioning players moving up from social to competitive, and anyone who knows the game but hasn't found the right community yet.
The $100 entry includes your Rainbow Cup spot on 3 October — so you finish the series by playing in Australia's annual queer water polo competition. It's a proper introduction to what Stingers is about.
